Race for Revenge - Part 2 - Speed Racer

Speed escapes disaster, which causes Flash Jr. to comment, "He's one of the best drivers I've ever seen." Meanwhile, back in the pits, Pops is pacing with Spritle and Chim Chim under each arm. Car 6 is in the lead, with 12 next, followed by the Three Rose Team. Sparky is sitting down with a dumb look on his face. Spritle protests because Pops is squeezing too hard. Pops has hardly noticed. He drops Spritle and Chim Chim. They notice Trixie is missing and they bet she's hiding in the Mach Five. During the race, Speed notices some extra weight is slowing him down. He decides to stop and check the trunk. He is surprised to find Trixie in the trunk instead of Spritle. The Three Rose Team continues to take cars out of the race. Flash sees the team below and decides to make his move. As the cars enter Danger Pass, the X3 starts to advance. Speed notices that the helicopter that passed overhead is the same one that was around when he was chasing the mysterious sports car. Trixie sends the homing robot with a message to Inspector Detector. The Three Rose Team finally sees the X3. One goes over the side and the other two drivers plead for their lives, but to no avail. Another goes off the road, but we notice that the driver was only hurt in the crash. Speed maneuvers the Mach Five between the X3 and the remaining Three Rose Team car. Flash gets huffy and shoots at the Mach Five. After Speed puts up the deflector, Flash triggers an avalanche that buries the Mach Five. Speed and Trixie climb out of the avalanche, just in time to meet Flash with a gun with a very large bore pointed at them. He talks long enough to let Lily interfere. Speed and Flash wrestle for the gun, which accidentally fires and triggers another avalanche. Flash emerges from the snow first and takes off in the helicopter. Speed pops out of the snow. Lily realizes she has to keep Speed warm to keep him alive and does her best to do so. Trixie's jealousy comes to the fore and she pushes Lily away. Speed regains consciousness. Inspector Detector is on his way. Pops is smoking and puts the wrong end of the cigarette in his mouth and drops it. Sparky gets a dig into Pops and Spritle, who is hiding under the seat sneezes because of the dropped cigarette. Speed tries to cheer Lily up. She's feeling sorry about her brother. The Mach Five catches up to the X3. Speed decides he needs to transfer vehicles and tells Trixie she has to drive the Mach Five. She protests because she's scared. Here, Speed responds with his classic, "This is no time to act like a girl." Speed makes the jump and looks for the remote control. Flash decides to have some fun. Speed pulls the steering wheel off. Speed is in a noticeable panic. He realizes the remote control is in the engine compartment. Speed pulls the wires, but the X3 crashes into the remaining Three Rose Team car and Speed goes flying. As Flash mourns the loss of the X3, he crashes his helicopter into a cliff. Seems he and Trixie went to the same flight school. As Inspector Detector and the rest look over the crash site, Sparky remarks that no one could have survived the crash. Regrets go around, but Speed is seen swimming in the river. When he alights on shore, they all jump him and push him back in the water. Trixie promises her and Speed's friendship to Lily. The episode ends with a street fair in front of Lily's flower shop. A little girl falls and Speed asks if she's hurt, but it's all right because she likes falling down. Strange. Who won the race?

Race for Revenge - Part 1

Speed is taking the Mach Five on a time trial. Sparky clocks him at 44 seconds at an average speed of 180. The new engine gives Speed a good chance of winning the race at Danger Pass. A mysterious black car comes onto the track and rides the Mach Five's tail. Speed uses the autojacks to get out of the way. Speed comments that the car is driven by a reckless driver and he hopes that it doesn't mean bad luck. Elsewhere, the mysterious black car rides the tail of a car being driven by a man in a suit. The number X3 flashes on the hood. The man wonders if that could really be THE X3, the Melange. In an answer to his question, a voice is heard, "Melange still races." The Melange forces the other car off the road and leaves behind a leaflet with "X3" printed vertically on it. Later, Speed and Mr. Herring of the Racing Car Association are called to police headquarters to help investigate the mysterious accident. Speed says that it must be the mysterious black car he saw at the track. Inspector Detector interjects that Mr. Herring claims there he's neither seen nor heard of such a car. It makes the case even more puzzling. But the inspector has one clue, a piece of paper found at the scene. The paper has "X3" printed horizontally. When asked if the letters mean anything, Herring breaks a sweat and says he doesn't know a thing. Herring leaves and makes a call from his car. He warns a friend, the President of Ocean Industries about the X3 and warns him not to go out. But he has some important business and goes out anyway. As he is driving his purple car, the X3 comes up behind. He hears "Melange still races" before he is pushed into the ocean. As Speed waxes the Mach Five, a radio announcement tells of the accidents. Speed turns off the radio and turns around in time to see Trixie who has prepared a picnic lunch for them. Speed wonders why the X3 is going after all the racing officials and what X3 means. Trixie gets Speed to drive by saying, "We start in five seconds. All drivers get behind their wheel." Before the kids can get away, Inspector Detector shows up to enlist Speed's help. Trixie objects. Speed overrules. Trixie thrusts her nose in the air and sniffs, "A fine police department we have when it has to ask for your help on the day we were going on a picnic." She adds, "I spent all last night making a special lunch. What's going to happen to that?" Of course, Spritle is there to make a suggestion. Spritle offers his help. He's carrying something and asks Speed what he thinks it is. After Speed gives the correct answer, a tape recorder, Spritle says its a tape recorder disguised as a camera to fool spies. Speed asks the obvious question what will Spritle tape record if there are no spies involved. Spritle replies that he'll just have to record Chim Chim. Speed's police radio informs him that the mysterious sports car has been spotted heading south on Highway 5 at 180 mph. Speed puts on his helmet and takes off. Speed pushes Trixie out of the car. She wonders what happened to Spritle. Meanwhile, the X3 is terrorizing the central city. Speed loses the car. He sees a small flower shop and asks the clerk if she's seen a black sports car. She says she hasn't. While Speed is apologizing to Inspector Detector for being such a doofus, Trixie calls on the radio. She's in her helicopter and the car has been spotted three blocks north of Speed's present location. She realizes she better help or Speed won't go on the picnic the next week, either. Speed takes chase and the X3 crosses in front of an approaching train. The driver isn't so lucky and is nearly skewered by the crossing gate. Speed discovers the driver is actually a robot. As the robot powers down, Speed hears "Melange still races." although it sounds like gibberish to him. At the police lab, the robot is being analyzed to learn something about who made it. Speed couldn't make out what the robot said because of the railway noise, but Spritle tape recorded it while he was hiding in the trunk of the Mach Five. The little brat agrees to turn over the tape for the promise of a seven-layer chocolate cake. The tape is played but the inspector wonders what Melange means. Speed remembers from his studies in French history that Melange is the name of Napoleon's horse who saved his life. Pops has more useful information about Melange. Fifteen years ago, in a race at Danger Pass, Mr. Black and Mr. Green, who were recently crashed into by the mysterious X3, were coaching the Three Rose Team. They were worried they might be beaten by a young driver, Flash Marker, who was driving the Melange. There were 50 cars in the race and about midway through the race, the Melange began passing all the other cars at the entrance to Danger Pass. He was forced off the road by a car owned by the Three Rose Team. No one ever found out if the crash was accidental. Flash Marker left behind two children. His daughter, Lily, was the clerk at the flower shop. When Inspector Detector et al visited Lily, her brother, Flash Jr., was sick in bed. They leave convinced that Flash Jr. had nothing to do with the Melange. With the heat off, Flash thanks Lily for lying about his whereabouts. Flash takes Lily downstairs to a secret factory where Flash switches auto bodies on the frame of the Melange. He wants Lily to drive while Flash controls the car by remote control. She agrees to his plan under duress. At the beginning of the race, some of the drivers are introduced. Car 6 will be driven by Skid Chill. Number 77 will be driven by Sooten Grimes. Car 86 by Scootem Rooter and the Mach Five by none other than Speed Racer. A last minute entry, car 3, is driven by Miss Julie. Speed can't take his eyes off the mysterious new girl. Trixie, with her territory under invasion, commandeers Spritle's hiding place in the trunk of the Mach Five. Overhead, Flash pilots a helicopter, He promises to avenge his father. The first race at Danger Pass in years, and Speed wonders if it's just a coincidence that the Three Rose Team and a car that might be the Melange are in the race. Ya think? The Three Rose Team are determined to take out the Mach Five at Danger Pass. Car 3 (which we know to be the Melange) makes a "bowoom" sound as it passes the Mach Five. Shortly, the "3" flips over to reveal "X3". Cue the suspense music as the Melange and Speed play bumper cars. Lily faints and her helmet falls off. Speed sees the girl is Lily. Will this be Speed's last race?

The Most Dangerous Race - Part 3 - Speed Racer

It is officially the second day of the Big Alpine Race and not one racer managed to cross the chasm except for Racer X. In a nearby lodge, Trixie, Sparky, Spritle, and Chim Chim await for the rain to pass out. As the two drivers deliver the news of what happened at the pass, Trixie and the gang leave and obard in her helicopter to rescue Speed. Next morning, Speed regains consciousness, making a discovery of himself that he is unable to see. Although, he finds the Mach 5 and starts the engine. At the race, Snake Oiler cruises by on his way to victory at the finish line. When Speed uses his acute sense of hearing, he follows the sound of Racer X’s car, leading him back onto the race course. When the Mach 5’s wheels get stuck and Racer X leaves him behind, Racer X crashes with his legs bring broken. Now Speed finds him and both posing as a team in the Mach 5, they plan to overtake Snake and win the race together. Both Speed and Racer X is close to reaching Snake. When Speed’s eyesight returns, he spots Snake’s car leaking some oil outside. Speed warns his opponent, but Snake continues to drive ahead, ignoring the warning. Suddenly, Sanke's car explodes, making Speed win the race. Snake vows vengeance for the near future while Racer X silently tip toes away.

The Most Dangerous Race - Part 2 - Speed Racer

When Speed competes himself in the Big Alpine Race, an official warns Speed on possible bad weather. Thinking fearfully that the Mach 5’s brakes will fail, Sparky, Spritle and Chim Chim sets out to reach Speed with new brakes. When something goes awry with Sparky’s car, Trixie manages to rescue them in her helicopter. Arrving on the icy road, Speed pulls ahead of the Car Acrobatic Team. Now the team thwarts Speed’s attempt by knocking down some icicles. Rounding to an icy curve, the Mach 5’s brakes fail, causing the car to spin out of control and sliding down the mountainside. Speed now radios Trixie for help. In the next morning, Speed tries to catch up to Snake Oiler when his car, along with others, is stopped at a treacherous part of the course. Due to the cause of heavy rains, any car attempting to jump over the cavern would be guaranteed to cause a landslide. The drivers decide to draw lots when Speed jumps and joins the wreckage below. The Most Dangerous Race - Part 1

On the racetrack, the Stunt Car Spectacular promises actions and thrills. When two of the contestants attempt to scale a ramp and clear out a stack of cars, they fail. Daredevil driver Snake Oiler who's a member of the Car Acrobatic Team urges Speed to try it out. Speed who didn't do it decided to challenge Snake to the upcoming Big Alpine Race. Later on, Speed and Pops travle towards the most challenging section of the course where each driver must leap over a deep cavern with no plunging into the river 1,000 feet below. On site, the Car Acrobatic Teams gives a demonstration of their remarkable ability, twirling in the air over the cavern. Before Speed can attempt it, Racer X offers some advice. Back at Pops’ garage, Pops wants to wish how he knew the secret behind the abilities of the Car Acrobatic automobiles. Spritle and Chim Chim overheard what Pops' said and sneak away at night to spy on the team Pops mentioned. Spritle returns with photographs with details of the special devices that makes the cars fly up. Longer enough, the Mach 5 is modified with wings. When Pops passes out from the exhaustion, Trixie takes him to the hospital. Now Speed heads to the track when he noticed a problem with the brakes on his Mach 5 along the way. To be continued...

The Race Against the Mammoth Car - Part 2 - Speed Racer

Satisfied that Speed and Trixie are dead at the bottom of Lake Icy Chill, the Mammoth Car drivers continue the race. Through Speed's telescanner, he sees them leave as he reaches soil. Trixie now sends a message in the homing robot to Inspector Detector. Speed strongly suspects that the stolen gold is aboard on the Mammoth Car. From his plane, Cruncher Block spots the Mach 5 back on the road. Speed and Trixie are fired upon at the refueling station. When they escape into a mining tunnel, they jump on top of a speeding trolley car before it crashes. Back at the refueling station, Spritle and Chim Chim sneak outside of Cruncher’s airplane. They escape into the tunnel, which turned out to be Cruncher’s headquarters. Speed and Trixie are both tied to a trolley loaded with three tons of dynamite connected to it. Racer X arrives and saves both of them. At the checkpoint, the Inspector searches the Mammoth Car. No gold is found there. When Speed reaches the checkpoint, Spritle and Chim Chim slip out to hide in the Mammoth Car. The Mach 5 and the Mammoth Car cross the finish line and tie for first place. They continue at breakneck speed towards the shipyard. Now, Spritle and Chim Chim both knock out the Car’s driver while Speed jumps in and then flees with his brother and chimp just as the car causes a collision with an oil tank, making it melt into a pool of molten gold.

The Race Against the Mammoth Car - Part 1 - Speed Racer

When Trixie was granted the position of Speed’s assistant in the No Limit World Race, Inspector Detector and his officials search each entry looking for $50 million in stolen gold bars before the race begins. When The Mammoth Car enters the track, its driver gives the Inspector a tour, giving no single trace of the gold. When the race begins, the Mammoth Car forces everyone off the road, making Speed a bit suspicious. On it's way to discover the Mammoth Car’s secret, he equips the homing robot with X-ray film so he can be able to penetrate the metal. The robot is shot at and returns home broken. Now, the Mammoth Car catches up to Speed and forces the Mach 5 off the road. When a ramp is lowered, a squad of motorcyclists descends onto the road. Racer X appears and spills oil on the road, causing the bikers to crash. At the airport, Spritle and Chim Chim stow-away aboard on Cruncher Block’s airplane. Meanwhile on the road, the Mach 5 and the Mammoth Car both collide and veers off the road towards the forest. While Speed uses his rotary saws to cut down the trees, the Mammoth Car's power mows its own path. Speed turns around and tries to slash the car’s tires, but the Mammoth Car dodges it and encircles the Mach 5. Guns emerge from its sides. Speed closes the cockpit to block the shower of bullets and escapes through a gap and plunges into a lake. To be continued...

The Secret Engine - Part 2 - Speed Racer

Speed now avoids a collision with Bladdard's motorcyclist squad. Tiny, Blaggard's sumo bodyguard knocks Speed out. Coming up with a plan to save Mr. Clepto form Tiny, Speed reveals to Blaggard the location of the $1,000,000,000. Speed phones Pops and gives Trixie a message to her: Forget about the $650 ring, it's a signal for help. Guarded by Blaggard's men, Speed heads to Misty Valley using his Mach 5 where the $1,000,000,000 is located at. Speed tries to radio for help. Blaggard stops him and he accidently sends the homing robot back home. At the Racer home, Trixie who was stood up by Speed, wakes up Pops. Spritle gives the blame to the homing robot for waking him. Trixie rushes off to search for Speed. The next day, Blaggard's thugs enters a lodge with Lana, a Misty Valley native, but is really Trixie in disguise. Back on the road, "Lana" and Speed escape and moves on to the village where Pops is waiting for them. Blaggard arrives there first. They still continue to Misty Valley. At the secret location, the loot is found. Blaggard commands his men to shoot everyone. Spritle and Chim Chim, who was hidden in Trixie's helicopter, along with a group of monkeys hail the thugs with stones. Speed fights back to the thugs. Mysteriously, Racer X saves them again. Refusing to give up, Blaggard escapes to his car with the money and Speed follows him. Speed directs the robot to knock out the loot Blaggard has. The money bills spill out and disintegrates into dust. Inspector Detector arrives and rewards Speed with $100,000, which Speed donates to Mr. Clepto to start a home for homeless children.

The Secret Engine - Part 1 - Speed Racer

Speed, Spritle, and Chim Chim go out for a test drive for the Mach 5. The radio makes an announcement that Tongue Blaggard made an escape from prison. The Racers meet a girl and her grandfather whose Model T racing car broke down on the road. Speed offered to help out, but the old man declined. Later on, the racers find the broken down Model T again. Now the old man changing his mind, he accepted Speed's help. While the racers dine with the old man with his granddaughter and his adopted children, Blaggard steals the Model T Racing Car, trying to hope that it once belonged to the crook, Fingers Clepto. With the car stolen, Speed vows to bring back the stolen car back. Unashamed, the old man reveals who his father was. Trixie in her helicopter spotted the stolen Model T and brings it into Pops' garage for minor repairs. Longer than ever, a line of Model T's formed with engine trouble. Speed finds it very strange and uncovered the old man's original engine, finding a secret code number etched on it from Light Fingers Clepto who's the old man's father. On his hideout, Blaggard recalls his encounter with the inmate who told him about the Model T vehicle's secret engine number that leads to the loot. Making a decision to bait Blaggard, Speed adorns the Mach 5 using a flag to bear the engine's secret code. Blaggard's men follow him while a cargo helicopter flies ahead. The thugs set a fire on Speed and the old man, until Racer X arrives to defend his brother. Instead, he ends up on the edge's cliff. The helicopter lowers a ramp to unload a squad of weapon-carrying motorcyclists. To be continued...

Challenge of the Masked Racer - Part 2 - Speed Racer

After Speed's accident, the Masked Racer takes Speed to his home and reveals himself as Speed's old brother, Rex. When Speed wakes up, he takes a good look around the room and spots the Masked Racer's outfit on the chair and him on the bathroom, taking a shower. Trying on the mask, he is knocked out my an intruder. When Trixie arrives and asks The Masked Racer with two other mean if they seen Speed. With no reply, they all flee, with Spritle and Chim Chim hiding in the back trunk. In Wiley's Mansion, the mask beonged to Speed is removed. Fixer enters in with Spritle and Chim Chim being held prisoners. Chim Chim escapes and tries to find Trixie, with Speed and Spritle bring tied up. The Masked Racer rescues them ultmately. On race day, the Racers watch the event on live television. On the track, Spritle hears Fixer give his thugs the order to fill the Masked Racer's radiator with gasoline. Spritle and Chim Chim switch the drums making the Alpha Team Member's car to explode. The Masked Racer's tire flattens out, but resumes the race with three wheels. Someone in the stands shines into the Masked Racer's eyes with a mirror and temporarily blinds him. With one lap remaining, Speed stops to help the Masked Racer. The Masked Racer orders Speed to continue the race. Speed wins the race and Pops lets Speed become a professional driver.

Challenge of the Masked Racer - Part 1 - Speed Racer

Speed and Trixie now driving to a shipyard, both see the Masked Racer's car being held there for an upcoming Trans Country Race. Trixie suggests that Speed should enter the race and he agrees. At the Racer Homestead, Pops watches TV and leanrs that Speed is entering the next upcoming race. Now, Pops blows a gasket and has a rememberance on the time his oldest son, Rex, entered and joined a race without any permission from him. Almost close to victory, Rex crashed the car that was built for him by Pops. Although Rex wasn't injured, Pops forbidded his son to drive again due to Rex's laco of experience. Rex made a vow to never return home. The Alpha Team is on a conference, discussing many cheating ways to win the race. Mr. Wiley suggested Mr. Fixer and the Alpha Team driver Zoomer Slick to pull the dirty trick first. With determination to beat the Masked Racer, Speed sneaks out in the middle of the night and goes to the track. With the heavy rains, Speed isn't soaked.Out of nowhere, the Masked Racer warns Speed to stay off the race. He declines and says he wants to beat him and the only way to do it is to race blindly into the night. Speed mysteriously crashes when an unknown person cuts a rope, causing a cascade of logs to block the track. Now tumbling off the car, Speed feels very consious. To be continued...

The Great Plan - Part 2 - Speed Racer

Resuming the sword Mountain Race, Ace and his gang approaches from its opposite direction. Speed revving off the road, uses the rotary saws to cut through a path to the overgrown terrain. Trixie creates a distraction by bombing the gang with smoke-filled flares coming from her helicopter. Duggery makes a decision to take a shortcut at a cross-road. Spped thinking that the shortcut leads to a very dangerous volcano, he rescues him. Meanwhile, Ace and the gang targets at Trixie. With the helicopter plummeling, Trixie escapes. At the volcano's edge, Duggery is thrown off from his car and is left dangling on a rock. Speed now ending up on a rock shelf and saving his competitor to safety, the gang surrounds the Mach 5, with Trixie being taken hostage. Spritle and Chim Chim hiding in the Mach 5’s trunk, throws rocks at Ace's gang while Speed, Duggery, and Trixie fight back. Now Ace drives off with the Mach 5. Now Speed following Ace's racecar in hot pursuit, he is near of reaching him. Now jumping to the Mach 5, he wrestles the pistol out of Ace's hand. Accidentlly, Ace's foot touches the auto-jack button, propelling him out of the car. Now Speed slamming on the brakes, the car stops. Ace reappearing, Speed kicks him off the cliff. Back at the race, Speed passes Duggery and wins the race.

The Great Plan (Part 1) - Speed Racer

When winning a practice race, Speed Racer is offered a position of team for the Grand Prix race. The company who employed his father, Pops Racer, top engineer, owns the team. Speed declined because he thinks that Pops won't allow him to be pro. Later on, Pops gives up on his plans on improving the Mach 5 when they were rejected. When Pops and Speed are driving on their way home, motorcycle racers come in and snatch the plans. Trixie buzzes them in her helicopter. She drives the gang off and the plans are recovered. Now at the Cyclist Headquarters, Ace Ducey who's a bad guy shows up and makes a deal to get back the plans for 5,000 clams. Confronting Pops, he leaves empty handed. Pops hid the designs on a spare Mach 5 windshield using invisible ink. Making a decision to sell the Mach 5 in order for Pops to rebuild the engine, Speed makes a visit to Sparky, who suggests that Speed should enter the Sword Mountain Race for a $5,000 prize. Taking out the Mach 5 for a road test, Dirty Driver Duggery rams the car, causing Speed to throw a wheel and crash. Back at the garage, the car is repaired. Now the race begins: Ace and his gang go after the Mach 5 where the designs is hidden. Speed guesses where the plans are hidden and avoids getting his tires shredded by Ace's gang by hitting the auto jack button. The Mach 5 is propelled over the guardrail. To be continued...
